In accordance with current legislation, Rotondes is committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of visitors to both its online and physical spaces.

This notice provides all the information you need about the use of your data and about your rights in relation to that data and its usage. Rotondes is committed to treating all personal data that is supplied or obtained in the course of its communications and ticket sales in accordance with the EU Regulation No. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data (hereinafter referred to as GDPR”).

Details are provided below about how we deal with any information that we may collect about you, or that you may communicate to us via the roton​des​.lu website or other channels (telephone, ticket office, social media). To understand how we process your data, please read the following information carefully. By consulting this website, you accept the practices described hereinafter (including any modifications and updates).

1.1. Personal data

Your data may be rendered anonymous for statistical or historical purposes. It will not be used for any other purpose, commercial or other.

Visitors’ data may be collected when they visit the roton​des​.lu website. Emails sent to Rotondes and email addresses used to send additional information may also be stored.

1.2. Right to object, right of access, right to correction, and right to be forgotten

In accordance with GDPR, anyone whose personal data has been processed by Rotondes has the right to access or correct their data, object to its use, or request that it be deleted. To do so, you can contact us by post or send an email to info@​rotondes.​lu.

1.3. Storage of personal data

All the data that we collect is stored in the databases of third-party platforms: Mailchimp, Ticketmatic and Zendesk. You may, accordingly, be redirected to those platforms when you follow some of the links on this website. How long will my data be stored for?

We do not store your personal data for longer than is necessary for practical or legal reasons. If you are a user of our services or one of our partners, we will store your information until you decide to revoke your authorisation for us to contact you.

For the purpose of generally providing information about our activities, we store your personal data for as long as you remain subscribed to our mailing lists and communication channels. From time to time, we may also clean our databases and delete users who are not active, based on the suggestions of our monitoring systems.

We add to this website regularly in order to promote and circulate our programme and information relating to it. The information published on this website does not claim to be comprehensive. Although we are committed to providing accurate and up-to-date information, we are not immune to errors, mistakes, or failures to update the website in time. The roton​des​.lu website contains numerous links to other websites, most of which are official sites (institutions, public bodies, etc.) but some of which belong to our partner associations and companies. Those web pages, the addresses of which are checked regularly, are not part of the public and official website of Rotondes.

Rotondes is not responsible for the content of those other websites and cannot be held responsible for any damage or harm resulting from their use.

2.3. Rotondes on social media

The first rule of netiquette: If you would not say it face to face in a real conversation, don’t say it online.

Anyone who publishes content on one of our social media pages, in the form of a comment, text, image, link, or in any other form is expected do so with respect to standard rules of conduct and politeness.

Publications that feature any form of discrimination based on race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, nationality, disability, marital status, or profession, and any abusive, racist, sexist, or offensive language will be deleted and may be reported.

2.4. Languages

French is the main language used on our website and on the social media platforms on which Rotondes has a presence. Depending on the information or the target audience, information may be provided in the two other national languages and in English. Where possible, all questions/​comments will be answered in the language of the user.

2.5. Email Marketing

You can subscribe to our mailing lists on our website. We use a third-party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver our emails and electronic newsletters. This application helps us to collect statistics on email opening and click rates, using technology that is widely used in the industry, such as the tracking pixel embedded in our emails, which helps us to monitor and improve communication with our audience. 3. On the premises of Rotondes

3.1. Access to the premises

The premises of Rotondes are open to everyone. Children under the age of twelve must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or responsible adult. Minors of any age are the responsibility of their parents or the person legally responsible for them. Unaccompanied individuals under the age of sixteen are not permitted in the venues where drinks are sold (our concert venue, the Klub, and our bar, the Buvette).

Pets must be kept on a lead and under the control of their owners. They may be prohibited from accessing certain events (performances, concerts, conferences, etc.).

Rotondes reserves the right to refuse access or to expel anyone from the premises of Rotondes who behaves in a way that is inappropriate or dangerous to the public.

Begging, the sale and/​or exchange of goods, and the provision of services by visitors are forbidden.

For certain events, specific rules may be applied. We ask you to read about them in the material connected to those events.

What the law says:

Minors under the age of sixteen (and adults with impairments) who are not accompanied by someone over the age of eighteen who is responsible for them are not permitted in premises where alcoholic drinks are sold.

3.2. Image rights

Rotondes frequently takes photographs or records video footage of events in order to document and promote them, either in our internal communications (flyers, website, brochures, etc.) or external communications (cultural programmes, press, etc.). Anyone present at those events may appear in those photographs and video footage.

Rotondes clearly commits itself to not using photographs for commercial purposes or in any way that could threaten a person’s privacy or reputation, or in any material that is pornographic, racist, or xenophobic in nature, or in any other harmful way.

When minors are likely to be photographed at an event, Rotondes informs the parents or accompanying adults and gives them the opportunity to communicate their refusal of permission in advance.

3.3. Alcohol

It is forbidden for minors under the age of sixteen to consume alcohol on the premises of Rotondes (even if they are accompanied). Proof of identity may be requested.

3.4. Tobacco

According to the Law of 11 August 2006, smoking is strictly prohibited in the Rotondes buildings. 

Electronic cigarettes are also forbidden according to the Law of 13 June 2017. Anyone who does not observe this rule may be denied access to Rotondes.

3.5. Security

In order to guarantee security on the premises of Rotondes, checks may be carried out at the entrance to the venues and bags may be searched. Entry will automatically be refused to anyone who does not cooperate in this regard.

The following are not permitted on the premises of Rotondes:

  • drinks and/​or food obtained elsewhere;
  • sharp or blunt objects that could be used as weapons, dangerous objects, and any object that could be used as a projectile;
  • professional recording equipment;
  • the distribution of leaflets, flyers, pamphlets, posters, any promotional material, etc. (except with authorisation);
  • illicit substances;
  • weapons.

Please note that the possession of weapons and drugs is prohibited by law.

3.6. Video surveillance

As is indicated at the entrance, the parvis” (open area in front) of Rotondes is under the surveillance and protection of cameras twenty-four hours a day, solely for the purpose of ensuring the safety of people and property, as a deterrent.

The video footage is only consulted in the case of an incident. Only security personnel and members of the management have access to it. The footage can be made available to law enforcement officials on request. The images are stored for a period of seven working days.

3.7. COVID-19

Rotondes reserves the right to deny entry to anyone who does not respect the safety and health measures issued within the COVID-19 legal framework on our site.
